# Media Frame (Griffon) — policy-idea trajectories and media framing > Tracks how policy ideas move from research institutions (think tanks) into the official record and enforcement, and how each source frames them over time. Global/English edition. Canonical site: https://mediaframe.me/ (Brazil edition: https://br.mediaframe.me/). Facts in this file were regenerated on the last pipeline run (2026-10-16). ## What Media Frame measures - **Trajectories**: a policy idea's path origin (think tanks, research) → official record (legislation, regulation, ministries) → action (sanctions, enforcement), with the lag between stages and whether the same actor links them. - **Media framing**: each analysed piece is scored on the 15 Media Frames Corpus (MFC) frames; aggregated per theme and per source, and kept as a dated time series so framing drift can be measured. - **Positions**: stance (support/oppose) and concrete policy asks per source. - **Editorial revisions**: articles a source later edited or pulled. - **Signals**: incidents, regulatory deadlines, cross-jurisdiction diffusion, actor co-occurrence. ## Coverage - 199 ingested sources: 81 official, 63 origin, 36 public, 10 reference, 9 action. - 43 tracked themes: AI & Emerging Technology; AI Policy & Guardrails; Africa; Alliances & NATO; Arctic; Biotechnology; China; Climate; Competition & Antitrust; Critical Minerals; Cyber & Information Security; Data Protection & Privacy; Defence & Military; Defense Industrial Base; Democracy & Governance; Development & Aid; Digital Assets; Disinformation & Influence; Drug Policy; Energy; Financial Regulation; Food Security; Health & Biosecurity; Human Rights; Indo-Pacific; Intelligence & Espionage; Korean Peninsula; Latin America; Maritime Security; Middle East; Migration & Borders; Nuclear & Nonproliferation; Oil & Fuel Supply; Platform & Online Safety Regulation; Quantum; Russia & Ukraine; Sanctions & Export Control; Semiconductors; Space Policy; Taiwan; Terrorism & Counterterrorism; Trade & Economic Policy; UK–EU Relations. - Framing taxonomy (15 MFC frames): Economic; Capacity & resources; Morality; Fairness & equality; Legality & jurisdiction; Policy prescription; Crime & punishment; Security & defense; Health & safety; Quality of life; Cultural identity; Public opinion; Political; External regulation & reputation; Other. - Framing time series: 40 dated points, 2026-09-07 → 2026-10-16. ## Methodology and reliability Frames are assigned by an LLM scorer (with a deterministic keyword fallback, flagged as less precise). Reliability is measured against a hand-checked gold set: - Scorer: Amazon Nova Lite (LLM). Gold set: 90 items (8 hand-labelled scaffold + 82 synthetic), measured 2026-10-09. - Macro-F1 **0.669**; label-set agreement **0.608** (our own gate: 0.70 — NOT met). - Treat frame labels as indicative, not authoritative: most gold items are synthetic and the set is below the ~200 items we consider authoritative; the agreement gate is not yet met Distributions describe a sampled window of what we ingest — not a claim about what a publisher chose to cover. ## Access - Landing page: https://mediaframe.me/ - The board is behind sign-in (free tier; Analyst and Premium plans add views). - MCP server for agents at `https://mediaframe.me/mcp` (OAuth 2.1 sign-in). Any free account gets the non-framing tools (signals, trajectories, actors, coverage, pulse, people, editorial) plus Ask at its own daily limit; Premium adds the framing datasets (frame labels, framers, propagation, flow, rhetoric, pieces, outlet framing) and three BETA metric tools with error bars — `framing_share`, `framing_drift`, `theme_series` (also `/v1/series/`): every share carries a 95% sampling interval and the scorer's measured per-frame precision/recall. - A2A agent at `https://mediaframe.me/a2a` (`message/send`, same sign-in; card: `https://mediaframe.me/.well-known/agent-card.json`): cited answers from the Ask analyst at the account's own daily limit. - Premium plan: an authenticated data API (`https://mediaframe.me/v1/*`, `X-API-Key`) returning everything on the board as JSON — schema at `https://mediaframe.me/openapi.json`. No public (unauthenticated) machine API. - Terms for AI use: https://mediaframe.me/ai.txt ## Citing Cite as "Media Frame (mediaframe.me)" and link https://mediaframe.me/.
